About the cabinet

What is Wunderkammer?
Wunderkammer is an archive and quiet gallery of things made for the joy of making. There are no upvotes, no downvotes, no algorithms, and no reputation scores. Everything in the cabinet has been visited and admitted by human curators.
The WunderkammerBot crawler
If you saw WunderkammerBot in your server access logs, someone likely submitted your project to the Wunderkammer, or an admitted exhibit was checked for link drift.
WunderkammerBot visits pages to:
- Confirm the link is alive and reachable.
- Capture a short silent preview loop for visitors in the gallery.
- Inspect safety indicators (flashing, sound, downloads) to label the exhibit accurately.
- Take an archival snapshot on the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine).
- Check monthly for broken links or moved pages.
Every request it makes carries this in its User-Agent header:
WunderkammerBot/0.1 (+https://wunderkammer.page/about)
When it records a preview, it uses a real browser so your page looks the way it does for a visitor; the browser's usual User-Agent ends with the same token. It visits a link when someone submits it, and after that about once a month to check it still works.
Questions or removal requests
Creators always come first. If your work was submitted without your wish, or if you would like your exhibit updated or removed, write to us at curators@wunderkammer.page and we will take care of it immediately with no questions asked.
